Our vision and everything that we do at The Hostel run by Flair Foundation are guided by these educational precepts and practices, inspiring us to provide children with opportunities to grow to their full potential. We believe and have experienced all these years that, to achieve this, a happy learning experience is a necessary prelude. Hence, every day we endeavour to make teaching and learning enjoyable and purposeful. We empower our children with experiential learning, and a creative and innovative spirit.
Our educational programmes, co-curricular activities, community service engagements, international exchange programmes, and the multifarious events we organise are designed to foster children’s all-round development and make them responsible citizens with a global outlook and cross-cultural appreciation.
With education’s primary purpose being preparing children for the future, our NGO Flair Foundation has embarked on a new transformational journey to make it more future-ready. Our vision of our new Premium Hostel, the design of our new campus, and our transition to the new curriculum pathways signify this thinking. The learner is at the heart of our curriculum model, with all our resources, expertise and commitment directed towards providing an excellent and holistic education to every child in our care.
We endeavour to develop in students sound values, and an appreciation of their own culture and that of others. Our guiding statements comprising our Vision, mission, motto, values and attributes set the context for our hostel culture, and provide a fertile ground for children to blossom to their full potential and shape their character.
Our focus is on providing an environment that is safe and child-centred and one that cares for children’s well-being so the learner is inspired to excel and develop holistically Students experience the joy of learning as they explore and engage enthusiastically in a wide spectrum of academic, co-scholastic, sports and co-curricular activities.
The key pillars of our pedagogy are learning through inquiry, conceptual understanding,
differentiated instruction, and technology integration. Our pedagogy aims to develop in students a broad range of knowledge, skills and attitudes, offering alternate pathways to students with varying needs, capacities and aptitudes, and supporting inclusive education. The emphasis on academic rigour and engagements beyond the classroom is integral to our educational philosophy and practices.
Preparing children to be equipped with 21st century skills to make them creative and critical thinkers, effective communicators and collaborators; and developing them to be leaders, global citizens, digital citizens and lifelong learners, are the larger goals of our educational programmes These are important skills and attributes that they should develop and build on within and beyond their hostel life.

~ Well-Being ~
At Hostel run by Flair Foundation, we are committed to the well-being of every child, within the hostel and beyond. The focus is on meeting each child’s unique learning needs, by providing an environment that is inclusive, safe, supportive and respectful. Individualised approaches and differentiated instruction are designed to cater to their diverse abilities and skill sets and help them cope with academic and emotional challenges as well as behavioural problems.
Our Student Care team, comprising guidance counsellors and special education needs teachers, works with class teachers and parents to provide appropriate support. This enables students to cope with the demands of student life, in constructive and creative ways. Transition meetings ensure that students move within the hostel across sections and curriculums with ease, and educators are aware and appreciative of the learning needs of their students. Our counsellors conduct in-hostel psycho-educational evaluations to identify special education needs. Wherever required, the Flair Foundation team consults external professionals or institutions for evaluating and addressing children’s special learning needs.
We help students develop essential life skills so they are better prepared for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences in life. All students engage in a well-planned life skills programme, PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education), which is delivered by the collaboration with CBSE school counsellors.
Students are also guided to select higher education pathways through a comprehensive career counselling programme from Class IX onwards, thereby informing them early on about multiple learning and career options Our hostel counsellors support students as they select their subjects and explore university admission options. Each year, about 25 representatives from leading universities from Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore, UK, US and many European countries, as well as India, virtual visit our hostel and provide information on various educational programmes and career opportunities.
The Hostel uses ‘Triple P software’, an online career and college exploration platform, to enable students and parents to be involved in the planning and advising process, research careers and colleges, create plans for the future, discover enrichment possibilities, stay well informed, and send applications to universities around the world.
~ Holistic Development ~
Holistic development of children with a focus on their physical, emotional, intellectual and social development and well-being is central to Hostel education. This is sought to be achieved through diverse opportunities for students to go beyond the learning of core academic subjects. The breadth of sports and co-curricular activities that the Hostel offers; the participation of students in various competitions within India and abroad, and so on, reflect our Hostel commitment to children’s well- rounded development.
We offer Art, Indian Music, Western Music, Dance, Drama, Physical Education, and Yoga and encourage Service Learning from the classes 6th. Promoting experiential and exploratory methods of learning; encouraging the appreciation and practice of our hostel’s core values; participation of students, starting from classes 6th, in the annual day productions; fostering digital literacy among students; facilitating exchange programmes with other schools; providing opportunities for leadership and entrepreneurship development; and using technology for teaching and learning, are some of the many efforts that result in students’ holistic development
Presentations, role-plays, small skits, and impromptu debates go a long way in developing students’ ability to express themselves confidently and build on their knowledge and skills. Students have a variety of out- of-classroom activities and experiences such as theatre, photography, film appreciation, robotics, football, cricket, tennis, basketball, taekwondo, and many more Community service helps sensitise children to the values of being compassionate and empathetic towards others’ challenging situations and unique needs.
Our alumni pursue diverse fields in higher education and their career choices encompass a wide cross- section of professional pursuits – as social entrepreneurs, creative artists, sportspersons, and more – this is a testament to our emphasis on providing children with a holistic education.
